A 26-year-old Bangladeshi man embraced Islam on Friday at a conversion ceremony at Rashidah Sa’adatul Bolkiah Mosque in Kampong Sungai Akar.
Subash Chandra Sutradr is now known as Muhammad Anas bin Abdullah.
The event, attended by Assistant Director at the Islamic Da’wah Centre (PDI) Haji Ahmad Abdussalam bin Haji Abdul Rahman, began with the recitation of Sayyidul Istighfar and Surah Al-Fatihah. Muhammad Anas recited the Syahadah, marking his official conversion.
Officers and staff from PDI’s Da’wah Development Section were present.
Muhammad Anas was later presented a souvenir.
The event further enlivened with a Dikir Marhaban, concluded with a Doa Selamat.
From January to November 6 this year, 270 individuals have embraced Islam in the Sultanate. – Lyna Mohamad
