The first Baiduri Bank ATM in the Temburong District was launched at Pekan Bangar yesterday.
The ‘Baiduri in Temburong’ event also featured a weekend ‘Lokal’ market for micro, small and medium enterprises to showcase products and services.
Baiduri Bank CEO Ti Eng Hui said that the ATM allows the bank to provide a self-banking solution to Temburong residents while also better support the growth of the local community and businesses.
“Since the opening of the Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Bridge over two years ago, Temburong has seen more business and employment opportunities, so we want to be part of the efforts to facilitate the district’s future of becoming a business and tourist destination.”
The bank also donated audio-visual to the Belalong Community Hall in Pekan Bangar.
With the launch of the new ATM at Kedai Rakyat Jati building in Pekan Bangar, the bank now has a network of 59 ATMs and cash deposit machines, including the first multi-currency ATM at Brunei International Airport.
Acting Temburong District Officer Pengiran Muhammad Ameer Mubarak bin Pengiran Haji Hashim was the guest of honour.
