Chief Justice Dato Seri Paduka Steven Chong on Wednesday declared BND396,500 in cash from a local man’s bank account as tainted property and ordered its forfeiture to the state under a non-conviction based forfeiture order. The funds were constituted as tainted property with 60-year-old Ibrahim Abdul Gani’s admission to be proceeds from engaging in public lottery and will be transferred to the Criminal Assets Confiscation Fund.
