(ANN/KOREA HERALD) – Babymonster’s first EP “Babymons7er” has surpassed 500,000 in album sales, according to YG Entertainment on Friday, citing a local tally.
Released on April 1, the mini-album sold over 400,000 copies in its first week, breaking the record for a debut album by a K-pop girl group.
In appreciation of their fans, Babymonster will release a performance video for “Like That,” a B-side track from the EP, next week. This single, gifted by American singer-songwriter Charlie Puth, was performed live for the first time at their fan meetup in Tokyo earlier this month.
The group is set to resume their fan meet tour in Jakarta, Indonesia on June 8, and will continue in Singapore, Taipei, and Bangkok through the end of the month.
