Azam FT booked their spot in the final of the BTB 11-a-side Veteran Football League Championship after defeating SM FC 4-3 in penalties at the Berakas Sports Complex yesterday.
After a goalless first half, Md Mahadi put Azam in front in the 55th minute.
However, Mahmod equalised for SM FC in the 75th minute to set up a thrilling conclusion to the match.
Azam would have the deciding say in the match with the spot-kick to move into the title decider.
The competition will continue tomorrow with Sahabat FC meeting PSJD in the second semi-final at the Berakas Sports Complex. – Fadhil Yunus
