KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama) – The police have arrested the parents of Zayn Rayyan Abdul Matiin to facilitate investigation into the murder of the autistic boy.
It was understood that the husband and wife, both 28, were arrested in Puncak Alam, Selangor, on Friday.
Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan when contacted confirmed the arrest of the couple and said that they will be brought to the Petaling Jaya Magistrate’s Court on Saturday morning for a remand order.
The body of Zayn Rayyan, six, was found in a stream near his house at Apartment Idaman in Damansara Damai, on Dec 6, last year, one day after he was reported missing.
A post-mortem showed that he was murdered and suffered injuries to his neck and body after trying to defend himself.
