A digital audio tour guide for the Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) Botanical Research Centre (BRC) was launched recently, according to a statement from Dynamik Technologies Sdn Bhd.
The guide, created in collaboration with Ebode of Dynamik Technologies and UBD’s Institute for Biodiversity and Environmental Research, uses the IZI.travel application to inform visitors on the diverse plant species and rich biodiversity of Brunei Darussalam.
The partnership between UBD and Dynamik Technologies underscores a shared commitment to achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), according to the statement. With over 500 plant species, the UBD BRC Garden serves not only as a sanctuary for botanical specimens but also as a centre for conservation, research, education and outreach. As the sole botanical garden in Brunei Darussalam, it continues to attract visitors and researchers alike, offering a glimpse into the nation’s natural splendor.
The digital audio tour guide can be accessed anytime, anywhere and can complement or supplement a solo traveller or those travelling in groups. Visitors who are visually or audio impaired can listen or read the information readily available through the digital audio tour guide.
