(ANN/KOREA HERALD) — South Korean boy band Ateez is gearing up for their inaugural performance at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in California, confirmed by KQ Entertainment on Wednesday.
Ateez is the first-ever K-pop boy band to be featured in the festival’s lineup since its inception in 1999.
The diverse roster for this year’s event includes fellow K-pop group Le Sserafim, alongside renowned artists like Lana Del Rey and Doja Cat.
Ateez’s recent success is marked by their second studio album, “The World Ep. Fin: Will,” achieving chart-topping status on the Billboard 200 last month.
The album continues its impressive run, securing a position on the chart for the fifth consecutive week, and also claiming the No. 2 spot on the UK’s Official Albums chart.
In addition to their Coachella debut, Ateez is set to kick off a world tour in Seoul later this month with a two-day concert. Following this, the group has plans to release their third single in Japan in February, accompanied by a showcase in Tokyo.
