The Young Entrepreneurs Association of Brunei (YEAB) and the Young Entrepreneurs Group of Asia Pacific (YEGAP) have officially entered into a memorandum of agreement (MoA) to strengthen collaboration and empower young entrepreneurs across the region.
The virtual signing ceremony marked a significant milestone in fostering cross-border partnerships and entrepreneurial development.
The MoA was signed by YEAB President Goh Chai Li and YEGAP Chairman Hiromi Aoki, symbolising the shared commitment of both organisations to facilitate collaboration, promote entrepreneurship, foster innovation and provide opportunities for the development and growth of young entrepreneurs in Brunei and the Asia-Pacific region.
The event commenced with welcome remarks and an acknowledgement of attendees by the moderator, followed by brief introductions of YEAB and YEGAP by representatives from each organisation.
The signing was witnessed by Confederation of Asia-Pacific Chambers of Commerce and Industry (CACCI) Director-General Dr Darson Chiu, previous YEGAP chairman and current YEGAP Advisory Council member Rommel Gerodias, CACCI Senior Officer Abby Moreno, CACCI Senior Officer Teresa Liu and YEAB Secretariat Hamimi. Their presence underscored the importance of this partnership and its potential to foster innovation and collaboration across the Asia-Pacific region.
The ceremony was further enriched by remarks from witnesses and observers, who expressed optimism about the partnership’s potential to drive innovation and growth within the entrepreneurial ecosystems of Brunei and the Asia-Pacific region. Following the signing, Aoki expressed his hope that young entrepreneurs from Brunei would actively participate in YEGAP and take on leadership roles within the organisation in the future.
The highlight of the event was the moment when Goh and Aoki showcased their signed documents to the camera, symbolising the official commencement of this promising partnership. The event concluded with a group photo, capturing the spirit of unity and shared purpose among the participants.
This partnership between YEAB and YEGAP underscores their mutual dedication to empowering young entrepreneurs, fostering collaboration and driving sustainable development across borders. Both organisations look forward to implementing initiatives that will provide valuable resources, networking opportunities and support for young entrepreneurs to thrive in their ventures.
