Archery is not only a national sport but it is also competed in the Olympics.
The new archery club, introduced by the Brunei-Muara District Scouts Association, will be used as a platform to identify talented archers in the Sultanate to compete in international tournaments.
This was said by Brunei Darussalam Scouts Association (PPNBD) President Dato Paduka Ar Haji Idris bin Haji Abas during the launch of archery open day organised by the association to showcase its new club and introduce the sport to the members of the media and scout members’ family and friends yesterday.
Dato Paduka Ar Haji Idris encouraged PPNBD members from other districts to take up archery as part of scout activities.
The event at the National Scouts Training and Activity Centre showcased club members’ skills and saw guests trying their hands on the sport.
