Halaqah Nur Rahmat has started its 76 times recitation of Khatam Al-Quran in conjunction with His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’s 76th birthday celebration.
Organised by the Wargamas Association, the online event saw Wargamas Association President cum chief guest Haji Abu Bakar bin Haji Mohd Don expressing delight over Nur Rahmat’s involvement in glorifying the holy book which will be presented as a special pesambah to the benevolent ruler. “Undoubtedly, there are blessings of Al-Quran and the rewards promised for those who read and follow its teachings. In fact, it is also for the days in the hereafter,” he said.
The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah by the guest of honour and Surah Al-Baqarah led by Haji Anuar bin Penghulu Haji Ibrahim.
