Some 36 members of the National Anti-Drug Association (BASMIDA) completed their recitation of 30 juzuk of Al-Quran. A Khatam Al-Quran ceremony was held at the residence of BASMIDA President Datin Hajah Masni binti Haji Mohd Ali in Kampong Jerudong.
Organising committee chairperson Hajah Linda Aini binti Abdullah was also present.
The event began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by BASMIDA President followed by recitation of Al-Quran verses from Surah Adh-Dhuha until Surah Al-Masad led by Hajah Aizat Yatini binti Haji Shari while Doa Takhtim was read by Hajah Asmah binti Paidi.
The Doa Selamat was read by BASMIDA President and Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam was read by Hajah Asmah.
The Khatam Al-Quran ceremony is an annual activity aimed at fostering ties among association members and improve the quality of their Al-Quran recitations.
