Executive committee and members of Fuzhou Shiyyi Association gathered for New Year’s Eve celebration at the multipurpose hall of D’Sunlit on Sunday.
Among the attendees were the association’s newly-elected president Dr Andy Lau Sie Chuong and founding president Jackson Ting.
Ting said at the event: “I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all the members and executive committee for the support over the past 11 years. We have come together and worked hard to complete important projects, especially the construction of Fuzhou Shiyyi Association building.
“No matter how serious or big a challenge the association may face in the future, the most important thing is to maintain sincere unity and jointly build a better future.”
He also said, “The new office bearer (2024-2026) has a strong team. I believe that with sincere cooperation, consultation and decision-making, we will be able to bring the Fuzhou Shiyyi Association towards a new milestone.”
The event also saw a grand feast, a Chinese calligraphy competition and a lucky draw. – James Kon
