The State Mufti’s Office is participating in the 2nd Muzakarah Zakat Nusantara 2024 in Selangor, Malaysia from July 1-4.
Representing the State Mufti is Assistant State Mufti (Buhuth) Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mazanan bin Haji Yusof, who left the country for Malaysia yesterday, accompanied by buhuth officer at the State Mufti’s Office, Pengiran Muhammad Wafiuddin bin Pengiran Haji Zulkarnain.
At the event, Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mazanan presented his paper on ‘Agihan Dana Zakat oleh Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD): Suatu Sorotan’.
Themed ‘Kelestarian Syariah dan Pemerkasaan Dakwah Zakat Mendepani Keperluan Zaman’, the event is organised by the Dakwah Research Centre and Syariah Leadership and Research Centre, Islamic Studies Faculty at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) in collaboration with the Selangor Zakat Board (LZS).
The event gathers experts and specialists in the zakat industry to discuss development and practices in the field. – Lyna Mohamad
