The 3rd AIPA-FAO-IISD Joint Event online workshop themed ‘Championing ASEAN RAI: Parliamentary Leadership and Partnerships for Sustainable Investment in Food, Agriculture and Forestry Sectors’, was attended by over 30 participants.
The participants included ASEAN parliamentarians, technical experts and regional strategic partners.
The workshop aimed to strengthen the implementation of the ASEAN Guidelines on Promoting Responsible Investment in Food, Agriculture and Forestry (ASEAN RAI) framework.
Legislative Council members Yang Berhormat Lau How Teck, Yang Berhormat Pengiran Haji Isa bin Pengiran Haji Aliuddin and Yang Berhormat Haji Mohd Salleh bin Haji Othman represented Brunei Darussalam, participating in the workshop online.
The sessions provided a platform for the participants to share ideas and collaborate on efforts to ensure food safety, sustainable resource management and economic resilience in the region. The workshop is a step towards building a more resilient ASEAN that can effectively address global challenges through responsible investment. – Fadhil Yunus
