The ASEAN Business Awards (ABA) 2024 is open for applications, the ASEAN Business Advisory Council Brunei Secretariat announced.
This year’s ABA aims to recognise ASEAN business enterprises and individuals that drive growth through enhancing connectivity and resilience, as well as those prioritising sustainability in their endeavours. The awards emphasise the importance of collaboration and community empowerment in pursuing a more inclusive ASEAN society, highlighting the crucial role of partnerships in fostering peace and prosperity throughout the region.
Award categories include priority integration sectors namely agriculture/agri-based, energy, food and beverages, handicraft, digital transformation, infrastructure, tourism, transport and logistics, healthcare and education.
As for SME Excellence, it includes growth, employment, innovation, corporate social responsibility and digitalisation. Other award categories include friends of ASEAN, young entrepreneur, family business, green enterprise, sustainable social enterprise and skill development.
The deadline for application is on July 31. The ABA was launched by the ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN-BAC) in 2007 to mark ASEAN’s 40th anniversary.
The ABA has recognised more than 250 outstanding ASEAN businesses that have shown significant progress in establishing and reinforcing their positions in various sectors and contributing to ASEAN’s economic growth. – Azlan Othman
