The Faculty of Agriculture of Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) organised an activity on July 11-12 in the forest reserve in the Belait District to collect herb specimens with the assistance from the Forestry Department team.
The Faculty of Agriculture collected approximately 40 specimens.
Lecturer from the Faculty of Agriculture Dr Syahirah binti Haji Shahlehi led the activity along with six faculty members.
The Forestry Department was led by Assistant Forestry Officer Mohammad Sabri bin Haji Mohammad Azmi and three team members.
Forest herbs hold significant medicinal value within the Bruneian community, making this activity essential to expand the herb collections at UNISSA Sinaut Campus, for teaching and research purposes.
