Arbisyam FC and Shah United returned home happy after both teams managed to collect valuable full points in the Brunei Elite Futsal League (BEFL) 2024-2025 season at the Multi-Purpose Hall of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex this week.
Arbisyam ended their wait for victory after besting DDT FC 3-0 while Shah United won 7-3 against Kota Ranger BK FC.
Arbisyam FC Head Coach Khairulazim Abdullah said, “We are grateful for the persistence and perseverance of all the players who did not give up easily.
Finally, we managed to achieve our first victory even though we were downed seven times in the past matches.”
He admitted that the preparation with training to correct mistakes during the competition break including the past month of Ramadhan has given the team a very meaningful return. The head coach added, “We hope that the momentum from this victory can be continued in the remaining matches to come, especially as the tournament is also starting to enter the second round.”

The victory saw the team from the Tutong District climb to seventh place after being rooted at the bottom of the table for most of the season.
Meanwhile, Kota Ranger BK FC slipped into the foot of the table despite being on the same number of points as Arbisyam FC.
Fresh from a 12-2 rout over DDT FC in their previous match, Shah United faced stiffer competition from Mohd Sharazri Haji Azamain’s men even though they continued their goal-scoring prowess.
The Kota Ranger BK FC head coach, who appeared calm, witnessed great competition from his players and one point came back from two goals down.
However, the speed of Shah United’s two import players from Thailand was the catalyst of their victory, which managed to improve its position among top four teams of the BEFL. – Fadhil Yunus
