    Arabic school students briefed on nationalism

    The Information Department at the Prime Minister’s Office, through the Temburong District Information Branch, held a briefing on ‘Our Ruler, Appreciating the National Flag and National Anthem of Brunei Darussalam’ for Temburong Arabic School recently.

    Assistant Information Officer as the Acting Head of the Temburong District Information Branch Hajah Nooramalina binti Haji Mohd Daud delivered the briefing.

    The school’s headmistress Morsidi bin Haji Tuah and deputy headmaster Hashidah binti Haji Awang, as well as the school’s teachers, were also present during the briefing.

    The programme aims to strengthen the spirit of solidarity and patriotism in the students.

    Over 60 students in Years 5-8 attended the briefing which touched on topics such as the monarch, the procedure for hoisting the national flag and the history of the Sultanate’s national anthem Allah Peliharakan Sultan.

    The students also watched an animated video clip on the ‘Procedure to raise the national flag’.

    The briefing ended with a prize presentation for students who correctly answered questions posed during a quiz. – Azlan Othman
