Some 345 students of the Hassanal Bolkiah Boys Arabic Secondary School (SMALHB) were feted in 39th graduation ceremony at the International Convention Centre (ICC), Berakas yesterday.
The graduates comprised those who achieved success in the Brunei Religious Education Higher Certificate (STPUB) and Brunei Cambridge GCE (BC GCE) A-level.
Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs Haji Mohammad Rosli bin Haji Ibrahim presented the certificates. The ceremony also saw the presentation of certificates and prizes for Special Award and Mithali recipients.
Abdul Aziz bin Noor Nasran was the recipient for the Mitahli student for 2021/2022 session.
For the Al-Imtiyaz STPUB Special Award, Najla Salsabeela binti Haji Ismail received Al-Imtiyaz Usuluddin award; Sofiea Adriena binti Mohammad Nazri received Al-Imtiyaz Asy-Syari’ah; and Alya Nuha’ binti Hayatuddin received the Al-Imtiyaz Al-Lughah award.
For Al-Imtiyaz BC GCE A-level special award, the recipient was Siti Nur Bari’ah binti Haji Samsol. For Leadership, Academic and Mumasarah Al-Lughah Al-Arabiyyah Special Award, the recipients were Muhammad Shamdani @ Muhammad Adibul Amin bin Haji Awang and Naylee Sabrina binti Noor Azman.
The Special Award for Consistent Achievement (STPUB) was received by Akmal Aqilah binti Katari, while Muhammad Hamdi bin Haji Morsidi for the BC GCE A-level.
Muhammad Darwisy’Billah bin Muhammad received the Academic Achievement award, and Muhammad Hazmi bin Haji Abdul Mutalib received the Co-Curriculum award. – Rokiah Mahmud
