The Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) held an appreciation ceremony for former Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Bahrom bin Pengiran Haji Bahar and welcoming the newly-appointed Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Haji Mohd Tashim bin Pengiran Haji Hassan.
Present at the ceremony was Minister of Religious Affairs Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman.
The ceremony aimed to appreciate the contributions of the former Deputy Minister, particularly at the MoRA.
Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Bahrom was appointed as deputy minister in May 2010 until October 2015 and later in January 2015 to January 2018; he held a designation as Deputy Minister of Education before holding the latest position as Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs from January 2018 to June 2022.
The ceremony also celebrated the newly-appointed Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Haji Mohd Tashim.
Prior to his appointment as Deputy Minister, he was a Syariah Appeal Court judge at the Prime Minister’s Office.
The ceremony also witnessed the presentation of memento and certificate of appreciation by the minister to the former deputy minister.
