KUALA LUMPUR (BERNAMA) – Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto held a closed-door discussion focusing on efforts to strengthen bilateral relations in Malaysia’s capital yesterday.
The meeting, held during a private luncheon hosted by Anwar at Rumah Tangsi, was part of Prabowo’s one-day working visit to Malaysia.
This is Prabowo’s first working visit to Malaysia since assuming office in October 2024.
“The visit reflects the special relationship between Malaysia and the Republic of Indonesia, underpinned by robust cooperation across various fields, including economic, socio-cultural, defence and security,” said Malaysia’s Foreign Ministry or Wisma Putra, in a statement yesterday.
Once the luncheon concluded, Anwar was seen boarding a car with Prabowo, who was scheduled to return to the Bunga Raya Complex, Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA).
Also present in Prabowo’s entourage was Indonesian Foreign Minister Sugiono.
