Brunei Institute of Leadership and Islamic Finance (BILIF) marked another milestone after being awarded the ‘Best Emerging Islamic Finance Training Institution – Brunei 2021’ during the International Finance Awards 2021, held at the Jumeirah Emirates Tower Hotel, Dubai, United Arab Emirates on Thursday.
The annual prestigious awards programme conducted by United Kingdom’s International Finance Magazine highlights industry talent, leadership skills, industry net worth and capability on an international platform.
Nominations are accepted from entities in the fields of finance, banking, brokerage, insurance, utility and telecom, predominantly from Middle East, Asia, Europe and Africa and winners are chosen on the strength of their application and past accomplishments.
BILIF, formerly known as Centre For Islamic Banking, Finance And Management (CIBFM) is the centre of excellence for the finance industry under the purview of Brunei Darussalam Central Bank (BDCB) that provides high-quality learning solutions and organises signature and collaborative events for human capacity development in the areas of Islamic finance and leadership.
BILIF’s mission is to shape future leaders, experts, and innovators in the mentioned areas through immersive programmes and world-class events.
Since its establishment in 2010 until December 2021, BILIF has conducted over 550 high quality learning programmes and has organised 64 signature and collaborative events for more than 13,700 participants, including a new suite of Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT) programmes and online events.
