Some 44 male and 65 female students of Meragang Sixth Form Centre (PTEM) took part in the annual Khatam Al-Quran ceremony at the centre’s multipurpose hall on Thursday.
The ceremony was co-organised by the Islamic Studies Department of PTEM and lecturers of the centre with the aim of instilling a love for Al-Quran among the students.
Syariah Subordinate Court Judge at the Prime Minister’s Office Ustaz Pengiran Haji Shahril Azman bin Pengiran Haji Metusin was the guest of honour.
The event began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by the guest of honour and the mass recitation of Khatam and Takhtim, followed by Doa Khatam by student Abdul Wafi bin Samsul.
A certificate presentation, Dikir recitation and a Doa Selamat marked the conclusion of the event.
