The Brunei Darussalam Amateur Radio Association (BDARA) collaborated with the Brunei Darussalam Scouts Association (PPNBD) to support the Jamboree on the Air/Jamboree on the Internet (JOTA/JOTI) 2024 event held at the scouts headquarters in Beribi.
BDARA provided amateur radio equipment and conducted an Amateur Radio Direction Finding (ARDF) competition for the first time at the event. Additionally, BDARA members participated in an Eye Ball QSO activity, an easy-to-understand communication method suitable for the participants. PPNBD members also connected with scouting friends in Sabah, Sarawak and South Kalimantan.
The communication activities aimed to strengthen ties and foster cultural exchange among scouts from various regions. JOTA and JOTI are annual events celebrated by scouts worldwide. – Lyna Mohamad
