A full rehearsal for the 34th National Teacher’s Day celebration was held at the International Convention Centre (ICC), Berakas on Wednesday by the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Religious Affairs.
Minister of Religious Affairs Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman and Minister of Education Datin Seri Setia Dr Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Md Salleh oversaw the rehearsal.
Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs, Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Mohammad Tashim bin Pengiran Haji Hassan was also present.
The 34th Teachers’ Day celebration themed ‘Quality Teachers Drives Education Transformation’ will be held on Thursday (October 3). The theme is complemented by a sub-theme on ‘Education for a Continuously Changing World’.
In line with previous years, the celebration’s highlight will be a presentation of Teacher’s Day Awards. The celebration will also feature an exhibition in line with this year’s theme, focusing on science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM). – ROKIAH MAHMUD
