With a full rehearsal successfully conducted on Thursday, the nation is all set to host the Maulidur Rasul celebrations for 1446 Hijrah across all four districts, with the main gathering and parade to be held at Taman Haji Sir Muda Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien in Bandar Seri Begawan.
The event is scheduled for Monday, beginning at 7am.
The full rehearsal to ensure the smooth running of the event, attended by Advisor to the National Islamic Celebrations and the National Adult Quran Recitation Competition Committees, Chief of Adat Istiadat Negara Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Indera Setia Diraja Sahibul Karib Pengiran Anak Haji Idris bin Pengiran Maharaja Lela Pengiran Muda Abdul Kahar.
Also present were Minister of Religious Affairs and Chairman of the Committees, Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, as well as other senior government officials and committee members.
The National Maulidur Rasul celebration is being jointly organised by the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications, and Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah. This year’s theme for the 1446 Hijrah celebration is “Preserving the Mind Through the Teachings of Prophet Muhammad Shallallahu ‘Alaihi Wasallam.” – FADLEY FAISAL
