Authorities for Info-communication Technology and Industry of Brunei Darussalam (AITI) organised a DigiBiz Talk webinar on ‘Building Your City with 3D Printing Construction’ and was facilitated by Recap Sdn Bhd.
The webinar in this recurring series explored the vast opportunities that 3D printing has opened within the construction industry recently.
Curious Mind Brunei founder Shaun Hoon moderated the webinar which featured Simon Klint Bergh, who appeared in Forbes 30 Under 30 as the co-founder of COBOD International, as well as Akmal Hafizuddin from KA Bina Malaysia.
The session included an introduction to 3D Construction Printing (3DCP) and the benefits of implementing this technology.
Secretary General of ASEAN Inter Parliament Assembly (AIPA) and Director and Principal Architect from Eco Bumi Arkitek Ar Siti Rozaimeriyanty bin Dato Seri Laila Jasa Haji Abdul Rahman also appeared as a special guest speaker to share her insights on how Brunei can utilise 3DCP.
Over 70 participants had the opportunity to raise questions regarding the development and skills required for this innovation.
The future market overview including the sustainability of 3DCP was discussed, along with the initiatives and readiness Brunei has in terms of adopting this digital technology.
The DigiBiz Talk aims to raise awareness of digital technologies and assist industry players, including micro, small and medium entreprises (MSMEs) and new startup companies operating in the area of focus to build a new incremental business. The recurring series of five thematic topics will run until next February.
