Personnel from the Company ‘C’ Police Reserve Unit, also known as the Jungle Police of the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF), successfully thwarted an attempted smuggling operation on October 17 in the forested areas of Temburong District, a location suspected to be an unloading and distribution hub for contraband.

According to the RBPF, the rangers detained two suspects who were found in possession of 240 cans and 84 bottles of alcohol, believed to have been smuggled in from a neighbouring country.

Additionally, the officers uncovered tools that are thought to be drug paraphernalia within the vehicle.

The case has been reported to Bangar Police Station and subsequently handed over to the Royal Customs and Excise Department, as well as the Narcotics Control Bureau, for further investigation.

The RBPF reminds the public to refrain from engaging in any criminal activities, as such actions can lead to serious repercussions for both individuals and their families.
