TotalEnergies EP (Brunei) BV donated an ECMO machine to the Ministry of Health (MoH) yesterday which will be used to treat patients at the National Isolation Centre in the Tutong District
Permanent Secretary at the MoH Haji Maswadi bin Haji Mohsin received the donation from General Manager of TotalEnergies EP (Brunei) BV Jerome Saniez during a handover ceremony at the MoH.
Saniez expressed gratitude to the MoH, healthcare personnel and frontliners for their efforts in fighting the COVID-19 pandemic.
He said Brunei Darussalam has five ECMO machines and TotalEnergies Brunei decided to donate a new ECMO machine to contribute in saving lives.
Meanwhile, the Safety, Health and Environment National Authority (SHENA) contributed 100 face masks to the MoH.
The donation was handed over by SHENA Acting Head of Strategic Planning Division Haji Junit Bin Haji Zakaria and Head of Human Resources and Corporate Service Division Umi Khadijah binti Haji Mohd Zaini to MoH Head of Corporate Communications Athirah Fakhriah binti Haji Yussof.
