Perdana Solutions Sdn Bhd and Asia Pacific Energy Solutions (APES) yesterday signed an agreement on the first Brunei carbon capture and storage partnership, aimed at further developing the implementation of carbon capture and storage value chain, and providing large scale, effective and sustainable decarbonisation solutions in the country.
Signing on behalf of Perdana Solutions Sdn Bhd was its Director Haji An-Mu’az bin Haji Zainal (Shell LiveWIRE Brunei Business Network Alumni) while APES Sdn Bhd was represented by its Director Diego A Vazquez Anzola.
APES Sdn Bhd is an energy consultancy that provides subject matter expertise in decarbonisation through carbon capture and storage technology.
The agreement was signed to signify the working group establishment focussing on the current practical methods of carbon sequestration, the mechanisms behind the working group, and the proposed action plan to implement effective and profitable decarbonisation solutions in Brunei Darussalam.
Also present were representatives from Perdana Solutions Sdn Bhd and Shell LiveWIRE Brunei, in its capacity as a social investment flagship programme initiated by Brunei Shell Petroleum Company Sdn Bhd (BSP) to commit in supporting local entrepreneurship development.
