ANN/THE KOREA HERALD – At the Video Music Awards Japan 2025, hosted by MTV, aespa won four trophies.
At the award ceremony held in Yokohama, Japan on Wednesday, the four members picked up trophies for: Artist of the Year and Best Group Video (International) for “Whiplash,” as well as Best Dance Video and Best K-Pop Video for “Supernova” and “Armageddon,” respectively.
The quartet garnered the highest number of accolades at the awards show for female artists.
“We are happy that our music has reached so many people,” said the quartet and thanked My, their official fandom community, in Japan in particular. They debuted in the country with the single “Hot Mess” in July last year.
The group wrapped up their second world tour “Synk: Parallel Line” on Sunday with an encore gig in Seoul. In August, the group will join the lineup for Summer Sonic 2025.
