An advance party, comprising 12 individuals from the Brunei Darussalam Haj Pilgrims Affairs Office (PUJH) for the haj season for year 1444 Hijrah departed for Saudi Arabia from the Brunei International Airport yesterday evening.
Present to bid farewell to the delegation were Minister of Religious Affairs Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports and Acting Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Nazmi bin Haji Mohamad and Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Mohd Tashim bin Pengiran Haji Hassan.
The delegation left for Saudi Arabia to make preliminary preparations with relevant parties in Saudi Arabia for the management of haj affairs before the arrival of Bruneian pilgrims.
Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) Haji Mohammad Rosli bin Haji Ibrahim, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Health (MoH) Haji Maswadi bin Haji Mohsin, Deputy Permanent Secretary (Policy and Religious) at the MoRA Haji Mohd Serudin bin Haji Timbang, Acting Deputy Permanent Secretaries (Policy and Management) at the MoH Dr Hajah Anie Haryani binti Haji Abdul Rahman and Dr Hajah Surita binti Haji Mohamad Taib were also present.
