A number of activities enlivened the Language and Literature Bureau Library premises at Kampong Pandan yesterday.
A blood donation campaign saw 39 out of 43 registrants donating a pint of blood. Alongside the blood donation campaign was a free health check-up organised in collaboration with Lions Club of Belait, which saw attendees measure their body mass index (BMI) and blood sugar.
Participants were advised on their health condition as well as where to seek further medical attention.
The library is also hosting a gallery showcasing various photos taken during the 40th National Day celebration. The gallery is on display for two weeks, said the library. – Daniel Lim
