The weather conditions in the Sultanate is forecast to be active from today until Friday with thundershowers, occasionally heavy and gusty, expected to occur over coastal areas in the early morning, and inland areas in late afternoon before moving over onto sea areas at night.

The wind speed may reach up to 50 kilometres per hour during heavy or gusty showers.

Brunei Darussalam is expected to enter the intermonsoon period by the end of September.

The sea state is generally at slight, below 1.0 metre.

The public is advised to take necessary precautions. There is a high risk of flash floods, especially in low-lying and flood-prone areas, as well as near river banks during continuous heavy rain and high tide. The risk of landslides and fallen trees is also heightened during heavy showers and gusty conditions.

Road users and fishermen are urged to stay updated with the latest weather forecasts, advisories, and warnings issued by the Brunei Darussalam Meteorological Department. Necessary actions should be taken to ensure safety.
