Minister of Development Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Muhammad Juanda bin Haji Abdul Rashid said the Ministry of Development (MoD) has taken appropriate action, including issuing guidelines and regulations, to preserve the country’s ecology.
He said this during the 20th session of the Legislative Council (LegCo) meeting yesterday in response to the issue of pollution and environmental concerns over sand mining activities in coastal areas, raised by LegCo member Yang Berhormat Abdul Aziz bin Haji Hamdan.
The minister said the MoD plans to upgrade infrastructure, including the development of commercial zones, residential areas, and government buildings. – Adib Noor
