Imams in the Friday sermon yesterday said the society plays a role in fighting for defending the country by fostering the spirit of fighting for and defending the nation, cultivating the feeling of love for the nation, people and religion, appreciating and thanking them, and working together to help them in maintaining peace and sovereignty of the nation.
In a sermon to mark the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) 61st anniversary celebration on May 31, which carries the theme ‘Accomplishing the National Vision Together’, Imams said, some of the RBAF measures in contributing and maintaining peace, prosperity and stability are by developing and increasing the capacity and capability of its citizens through improving the quality of its professionalism, as well as equipping oneself in all aspects of defence even while facing the COVID-19 pandemic.
