The Singapore Food Festival 2023 launched last night at the Anjung Saujana Restaurant at the Brunei International Airport, featuring long-awaited tulang merah in kawah and chilli crab.

Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah and the High Commissioner of Singapore to Brunei Darussalam, Heng Aik Yeow launched the event.

Present to witness the launchwere: Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy (Economy), Dato Seri Paduka Haji Khairuddin bin Haji Abdul Hamid; Chairman of Royal Brunei Culinary (RBC) Board of Directors Haji Sofian bin Haji Mohammad Jani along with the members of the Board of Directors RBC, representatives from High Commission of Singapore to Brunei Darussalam and the Singapore Tourism Board.

RBC General Manager Haji Jeff Hadiman bin Dato Paduka Haji Danial said Singapore’s cuisine has constantly evolved over the years while maintaining its roots in traditional taste.

The Singapore Food Festival 2023 is bringing back the popular The Black Hole Group from Singapore exclusively for the promotion. Specially flown in are: Group Executive Chef Ashik; Group Head of Operations, Afiq Sulaiman; Group Executive Sous Chef, Chef Zulfadhli and Tipo Group Sous Chef, Chef Imran to guarantee the authenticity.

In addition, the chefs at Anjung Saujana and The Black Hole Group have also collaboratively work together in creating a special menu rotation for the dinner buffet promotion by incorporating both classic authentic and modern Singaporean delicacies which includes several live stalls; Singapore tulang merah in kawah, gado-gado minang, Blue Butterfly nasi lemak Singapore, seafood laksa pasta, Singapore chilli crab, cereal prawn and delightful desserts such as pineapple crème brulee, pengat durian sticky rice and red velvet speculoos cake.

The Singapore Food Festival 2023 will end on February 28.
