Ghanim International Corporation Sdn Bhd (Ghanim) unveiled its collaboration with Sabah-based Jetsin Sdn Bhd (Jetsin) to produce Ready-to-Cook Abang J Frozen Satay for the Brunei market at the 30th Consumer Fair and Trade Expo yesterday.
Ghanim entered a Manufacturing Service Agreement in 2024 with Jetsin, a leading halal frozen food distributor and producer in Sabah. The satay, crafted using Jetsin’s authentic Sabahan recipe, is now manufactured at Ghanim’s facility in Brunei and will be available for the local market.
Ghanim’s Interim Chief Executive Officer Haji Jeff Hadiman bin Dato Paduka Haji Danial said Abang J Satay is now “manufactured by Ghanim for Jetsin, not only helping our strategic partner from East Malaysia enter the Brunei market but elevating the food manufacturing industry in Brunei”.
Meanwhile, Jetsin’s Managing Director Datuk Koh Chung Jade, emphasised the partnership’s significance, highlighting shared values and the bond between Brunei and Sabah.
He said, “Together, we have worked tirelessly to bring the authentic taste of Sabah to life – one that is rooted in tradition, culture and passion.
“This launch represents more than just a product – it represents our shared love for quality, authenticity, and innovation,” he added. Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy (Economy) Dato Seri Paduka Haji Khairuddin bin Haji Abdul Hamid was the guest of honour. – James Kon
