Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) celebrated the appointment of its first local professor in Arabic Language, Professor Dr Siti Sara binti Haji Ahmad, in recognition of her contributions to the field at national and international levels.
UNISSA Rector Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Norarfan bin Haji Zainal was the guest of honour at the event held at the UNISSA Auditorium Hall on Wednesday.
Dean of the Faculty of Arabic Language Dr Hajah Rafidah binti Haji Abdullah congratulating Professor Dr Siti Sara, emphasised her pivotal role in elevating the Arabic Language.
She said the achievement reflects UNISSA’s commitment to producing skilled local experts capable of competing globally.
The event also featured an academic presentation by Professor Dr Siti Sara titled ‘Developing Collaborative Technology Model (CTM) to Enhance Arabic Communication Skills Among Arabic Schools’ Students in Brunei Darussalam’.
An exhibition highlighted her academic accomplishments, including published works, scientific research, and her dedication to mentoring students at UNISSA and internationally.
