Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II, Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah attended as the guest of honour at the celebration at the Grand Serambi Batil Hall of Tarindak D’Seni.

Published annually by Brunei Press Sdn Bhd, the BBYB stands as a definitive guide to Brunei, its comprehensive contents making it an eagerly sought-after publication. This year, the BBYB website registered an impressive 2.2 million page views and a staggering six million hits, solidifying its status as an essential information hub.

The event also saw the attendance of Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy (Economy), Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Khairuddin bin Haji Abdul Hamid, and Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy (Fiscal), Pengiran Datin Seri Paduka Hajah Zety Sufina binti Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Sani. General Manager of Brunei Press Sdn Bhd Anafiah binti Omar in a welcoming speech highlighted the remarkable journey of BBYB over the past three decades. Under the inspiring theme ‘Building the Future,’ the BBYB has earned its place as a trusted source of insights, trends, and comprehensive references within the business community.

Anafiah noted that BBYB has evolved over the years to address the shifting needs of its readership. “From an initial focus on tourism, it transitioned into a key resource for the business and investment community, fostering valuable connections and partnerships,” she said.

The 2024 edition of BBYB revolves around the theme ‘Digital Waves Sustainable Horizons.’

The upcoming edition will delve into Brunei’s embrace of the digital revolution, focusing on technology’s role in driving innovation, education, and inclusive growth. A significant aspect of the forthcoming edition will spotlight collaborative efforts between the government, private sectors, and civil society in constructing a sustainable ecosystem.

The ceremony also featured the presentation of certificates of appreciation to 23 companies and organisations that have provided steadfast support to BBYB throughout the years.
