Jati Transport Sdn Bhd introduced the new Mercedes-Benz CLE Coupé at its Autohaus showroom in Beribi yesterday.
The all-new model uses the conceptual and technical innovations of the C-Class and E-Class.
Its design combines sporty and elegant proportions with the modern design language of Mercedes-Benz and true to the brand’s design philosophy of sensual purity. The all-new CLE Coupé offers plenty of space at 4,850 millimetres (mm) long, 1,860mm wide and 1,428mm high, the largest coupé in the mid-size segment.
Its progressively forward-leaning front section (shark nose) with a low-slung bonnet and flat LED headlights with a unique design gives an athletic appearance with a newly designed three-dimensional radiator grille.
Its interior includes a free-standing 12.3-inch driver’s display, a fully digital instrument display, the 11.9-inch, driver-oriented central display in user-friendly portrait format and a dynamic ambient lighting featuring 64 colours.
The latest MBUX generation in the CLE Coupé, adopts numerous digital innovations from the new E-Class.
It offers an interactive entertainment experience with third-party apps and a new level of personalisation with automated convenience functions (routines).
Other highlights also include the standard multi-function sports steering wheel in leather and new front seats developed exclusively for the CLE.
There are three sound systems to choose from in the new model with the top equipment is the optional Burmester® 3D surround sound system.
The Burmester® 3D surround sound system features 17 speakers, including two close to each ear in the front seats.
The new model also comes with numerous driver assistance systems offering situation-specific support including the attention assist, active brake assist, active lane keeping assist, speed limit assist, and the parking package with reversing camera.
Its safety features include a centre airbag to protect the driver and front passenger from colliding in the event of a side collision and a passive person presence reminder to point out if any children may have been left in the vehicle.
The ISG includes a 48-volt vehicle electrical system that ensures functions such as coasting, boost or recuperation, enabling significant savings in consumption.
The new CLE Coupé sets standards in efficiency due to systematic electrification and intelligent downsizing with all engines are mild hybrids with an integrated starter generator and 48-volt electrical system.
There is a choice of four-cylinder units and as the most powerful engine, a 3.0-litre straight-six petrol engine. With the 66-litre fuel tank, owners benefit from a long range and can reduce the number of fuel stops, which gives them a feeling of additional freedom, especially on long journeys.
