The Mini Observatory in Tutong

will do a live stream broadcast

of the eclipse online. This can be

The live viewing is organised by

the Astronomical Society of Brunei

Darussalamand has been registered

with the International Astronomical

Union (IAU) as aglobal celebration to

increase awareness of a Century of

astronomical discoveries, including

the historic Moon landing in 1969.

(MCYS) and the Department of Agriculture

and Agrifood under the Ministry of

Primary Resources and Tourism.

Having

demonstrated

their

commitment and industriousness in

developing a one-hectare plot as a paddy

farm at Lot 2G Kampong Bebuloh, the

four youth were awarded with an eight-

hectare plot at the Wasan Agricultural

Development Area.

The land clearing for the eight-hectare

plot was carried out for free by Syarikat

Swee Sdn Bhd on February 10, while the

planting of the high-yield

Sembada

rice variety took place on April 5.

The four entrepreneurs are being

guided and supported by Bank Islam

Brunei Darussalam (BIBD), in terms

of financial advisory assistance and

business advances under the LiveWIRE

Brunei Business Awards Start-Up Funding

Scheme (BASfs).

Meanwhile, the Youth Development

Centre and the Department of Agriculture

and Agrifood are offering courses and

programmes to youth interested in the

farming of vegetables, fruit, paddy and

poultry, in addition to hydroponic farming

techniques.
