Celebrity feud: Ruhainies apologises amid Aliff-Bella scandal

(ANN/THE STAR) – Malaysian actress Ruhainies has publicly addressed her involvement in the controversy surrounding Aliff Aziz and Bella Astillah. Breaking her silence on Instagram this Friday, April 26, she issued an apology.

“I would like to say a few words today in regards to the current issues that has been on going. I chose to keep quiet… to avoid fighting on social media and further extending the issue,” the 31-year-old actress stated.

She extended her deepest apologies to Bella Astillah, expressing a desire to meet and resolve their differences.

“With my humblest of apologies, I would like to sincerely apologize to @bellaastillah for everything that has happened. I would like to meet with you as well to clear the air so we can close this book and move forward and be happy again,” she added.

Her statement follows revelations earlier this week when text messages released by Aliff’s former lover, Sarah Yasmine, implicated an individual identified only as “NRF” in speaking negatively about Bella.

These messages suggest NRF, who Sarah claims is Ruhainies, real name Nur Ruhainies Farehah Zainul Ilyas, criticised Bella for publicising their private issues despite previous mutual silence.

In one of the messages released, “NRF” questioned Bella’s action of sharing the issue publicly even though she and Aliff had kept silent.

“It’s OK, that’s three months away. Don’t think about it now. Let’s focus on what’s in front of us first. We have been patient enough. Haven’t said anything for two weeks now. When will she stop? We need to stop her from talking anymore,” NRF allegedly wrote to Aliff, 33.

Last Monday, Sarah became a topic of conversation after she claimed to be Aliff’s girlfriend and they had started getting close since January.

In her statement this morning, Ruhainies also invited Sarah for a meeting.

“I would also like to extend my sincerest of invites to @sarahyasminekh as well, to join us so we can, as well clear the air on everything that has been ongoing and settle everything,” she said.

On March 9, Aliff and Ruhainies were detained by the Federal Territories Islamic Religious Department (Jawi) at a condominium in Kuala Lumpur on suspicion of khalwat (close proximity).

Bella, 30, filed for divorce soon after the suspected khalwat case came to light. But at the proceeding on April 4, Aliff refused to divorce her.
