Some 96 teachers under the Ministry of Education (MoE) recently completed a comprehensive occupational first aid course conducted by Berjaya Aman Sdn Bhd.
The two-day course, delivered across eight cohorts, began on November 4, 2024 and concluded on November 28, 2024. This initiative underscores the MoE’s commitment to creating a safer learning environment across Brunei Darussalam. Participants, comprising primary and secondary school teachers from all four districts, were trained in critical life-saving techniques, emergency response preparedness, and first aid essentials tailored to school settings.
“We are pleased to collaborate with the MoE in providing this training,” stated Hilmi Hazwan of Berjaya Aman. “This reflects the growing recognition of the importance of first aid training in enhancing safety and preparedness within our communities.
“We are honoured to contribute to this initiative and are delighted by the positive feedback received from participants regarding our delivery and content.”
The training emphasised practical, hands-on learning, ensuring that educators are equipped to respond confidently and effectively in emergency situations. By investing in first aid competency, these teachers are now better prepared to safeguard the well-being of students and colleagues alike.
“I am delighted and proud of the positive impact we have achieved through this training programme in collaboration with the MoE. This initiative is a testament to our vision of fostering a culture of safety and preparedness that will have long-lasting benefits for our communities. We remain committed to further expanding our training programmes to ensure that all sectors in Brunei can access the knowledge and resources needed to safeguard lives,” said the chief executive officer of Berjaya Aman.
“We are committed to expanding our training programmes across diverse sectors, ensuring that more industries in Brunei benefit from our expertise and dedication to safety excellence,” added Hilmi Hazwan.
This successful programme highlights the value of collaborative efforts in building a safer Brunei and sets a benchmark for future initiatives.
