Some 88 students of Institut Tahfiz Al-Quran Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah (ITQSHHB) participated in the Khatam Al-Quran ceremony for memorising 30 Juzuk of Al-Quran at the Musolla of the institute yesterday.
Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Mohd Tashim bin Pengiran Haji Hassan attended the ceremony.
The ceremony began with the reading of Surah Al-Fatihah led by the deputy minister followed by the recitation of Surah Adh-Dhuha until Surah An-Nas led by Abdurrahman bin Haji Md Azmi and Doa Khatam by Muhammad Faiz Najwan bin Mohd Saleh.
There was also a presentation of certificates before the event and ended with Doa Selamat and Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam by Muhammad Zulhelmi Hashim bin Jainuddin.
Deputy Permanent Secretary (Policy and Religious) at the Ministry of Religious Affairs Haji Mohd Serudin bin Haji Timbang also attended.
