YMRM Group of Companies sponsored 800 non-woven fabric bags to the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) for its upcoming 61st anniversary celebration at a handover ceremony at YMRM in Sengkurong yesterday.
YMRM Group of Companies Chairman Ramesh Jiwatram Bhawnani presented the bags to Deputy Commander of the Royal Brunei Air Force Colonel (U) Haji Haszahaidi bin Haji Ahmad Daud, in his capacity as the Deputy Chairman of the upcoming RBAF 61st anniversary celebration.
The bags are made of jute and carry the slogan, ‘It takes a nation to end plastic pollution’, in efforts to realise the goal towards a clean environment, free from plastic pollution. The usage of non-woven fabric is part of YMRM’s support for the ‘No Plastic Day’ initiative, announced by the Ministry of Development through the Department of Environment, Parks and Recreation in 2018.
