Brunei Darussalam yesterday detected a total of 4,215 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the national tally of confirmed cases to 80,749 cases. Of the new cases, 3,399 were from antigen rapid test (ART) screening and 816 from RT-PCR laboratory tests performed in the past 24 hours. No COVID-19 fatalities recorded. This was announced by Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah at a press conference on Friday. He revealed that about 75 to 80 per cent of the COVID-19 cases reported in the country at present are the result of ART tests performed at home. More details in Saturday’s Borneo Bulletin.
