The Bandar Seri Begawan Indian Association’s (BSBIA) annual blood donation campaign at the Blood Donation Centre of Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital saw 71 pints of blood collected from over 100 participants yesterday.
The association’s president Murugesan, general secretary Bharathidhasan and chief coordinator Suresh Borigam also participated.
Borigam shared, “I decided to donate blood because I wanted to help save lives and felt good doing it.” He encouraged the public to donate regularly as it is a simple and safe process. He thanked all donors.
Meanwhile, regular donor Haji Muhamed Haja Najmudin bin Haji Md Maideen said he has been participating in the annual blood donation campaign, adding that over 1,000 pints of blood have been collected since the campaign started a few years ago. He also hoped to give back to the community and that his effort have saved lives. – James Kon
