As of yesterday, 62 per cent of adolescents aged 12 to 17 in the Sultanate had been administered with three doses of the COVID-19 vaccine while children aged five to 11 who have received two doses of the vaccine stood at 86.6 per cent.
The coverage rate for those with four doses of the COVID-19 vaccine stands at 11.2 per cent, while the rate of the population with three shots of the COVID-19 vaccine remains at 78.8 per cent.
The latest COVID-19 updates were shared by the Ministry of Health in its daily report.
Meanwhile, two COVID-19 cases are in Category 5, requiring treatment at the intensive care unit, while one case is in Category 4, requiring respiratory assistance and close monitoring.
Some 630 recoveries were recorded, bringing the national tally of COVID-19 recoveries to 248,518, it added.
